Solar Shading Systems is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Self as National Sales Manager. Mr. Self's responsibilities include developing and managing all distribution channels for all Solar Shading Systems' products. As a former electronics dealer, Paul's experience in the implementation custom installation projects will prove to be beneficial not only to our VisionArt® dealers and reps but also to our showrooms. Paul will travel extensively providing product training for motorized shading solutions and VisionArt. By providing such extensive on-site training, one can only enhance our exposure nationally among electronic integrators; as well as, interior designers.

Paul Self brings to Solar Shading Systems more than 15 years of Marketing and Sales experience leading and managing in the electronics industry. A native of East Tennessee, Self attended University of South Florida before beginning his career in as a Sales Consultant with York Controls, Inc. He served as Vice President of Marketing for Inline and proceeded as a Marketing Manager with Merlin Software, Extron Electronics, and finally Audio Visions before joining Solar Shading Systems. There he served for seven years, organizing and implementing various custom installation projects; as well as overseeing the companies' software requirements.

This combination of strong technical aptitude, management and experience as an electronics dealer gives Self an "insider's" understanding of audio video dealers, and a solid day-to-day working knowledge and understanding of what goes on in the planning and implementation of the electronic industry. Such "know-how" proves invaluable to Solar Shading Systems' dealers and clients, who often look to us to provide practical solutions using the latest technology.

One of the highest honors in the industry is the award presented at the annual CEDIA show. Mr. Self was instrumental in producing each of the winning entries: 1998 CEDIA Dealer of the Year, 1999 Best Electronic Home, 1999 Best Home Theater, 2000 Best Special Project, 2000 Best Electronic Home, 2000 Best Home Theater, and CEPro Magazine Top 50 (placed in top 10 four time)

Self's interest include sailing and cycling. He has recently completed the Newport to Ensenada sailing race.
