The VisionArt installation on the rock wall is in the client's bedroom. A
classic case of the solution closed the sale. A plasma display simply
mounted to the wall above the fireplace would have been totally
unacceptable so they would have simply hung a painting in the
traditional way. Once the VisionArt solution was proposed the client never
even asked the price!
The artwork
over the fireplace is in an older two story "cape cod" home that has
only one living space on the main floor. A large tube television had
been sandwiched into a corner in an oversized armoire that was too large
for the space. By using the VisionArt application the interior
designer was able to make far better use of the limited space without
destroying the formal feel to a very traditional home. Another solution
that made the sale.
The installation with the furniture below is actually in a kitchen.
There is a small sitting area just off the main kitchen and a television
was mandatory. In addition to the traditional sources, the display is
also connected to a computer with a wireless keyboard. The client can
go on line to check the weather, look up recipes, and surf to their
hearts' content! When the plasma display is not in use the painting comes
down and you have almost a small "library feel" to the space!
